In the Visakhapatnam Test played between India and South Africa, Team India defeated the visiting team by 203 runs and made a 1-0 lead in the 3-Test series by winning this season on home soil.

In this historic Test match, all the players from India contributed excellently.  In this Test match for India, Team India's openers scored a record 525 runs, in which Rohit Sharma scored 303 and Mayank scored 222 runs.

Rohit Sharma became the first batsman to score a century in both innings of the Test, while opening May for the first time, while Mayank Agarwal became the fourth Indian batsman to convert a first Test century into a double century.
